TS4 really pisses me off. It used to be my fav game of childhood and this was probably the last game of the series I wanted to play. And that system requirements reason - well should games stop being evolved for the fact more people even with LQ computers could buy them ?

TS4 started with an online DRM but has since been removed, just like SimCity's online DRM. You'll still be subject to Origin just like Sims 2 and 3. I don't doubt that they might but an extra layer of protection but it'll be cracked in no time.

After seeing the video... not even giving the demo a chance. No major improvements, no interesting or improved gameplay mechanics, loading screen, terrible textures/environments, etc. its just the same game getting spoon-fed to us over and over with marginal improvements. If you purchase the game, you're basically letting the developer know they don't have to keep you interested, you'll just keep buying them based on brand power alone. Hopefully it will get backlash and flop horribly.

I have mixed feelings about it. I've been playing Sims ever since the first one came out, and I wanted Sims 4, but it's starting to look less and less appealing.

It doesn't look like they've brought much new to the table. Sure, there are emotions now. I like the emotions thing, and I like that in CAS you can directly click on and change body parts. That's cool.

But they've taken out important things, and it looks like a major step back. First of all, the lack of Create A Style is a huge deal breaker for me. Particularly because of hair and eyes - I LOVED being able to change the hair and eyes to look exactly how I wanted. Everyone could looks so different, I loved it. But it was also great for making accurate outfits too. (I always make really specific characters, and I want things to look right.) So yeah, no CASt is an awful step in the wrong direction.

The other major issue is the reintroduction of loading screens. I liked the open world concept - why'd they have to get rid of that?? I mean, it's cool that we can go to whole different worlds now - I love that! But come on, loading screens just to get to the park across the street? That's stupid.

The pools and toddlers thing is odd too, but not a huge deal for me.

I feel like all the major cool things they introduced in the Sims 3, they've removed again for the Sims 4. And with not much reason. Emotions aren't that important that they should remove those two major selling points from TS3. Ugh. They're just moving backwards.

So yeah, I don't know if I'll be getting the Sims 4 or not. Maybe once it's out and I have a better idea of how it goes. And once they release some extra things. Oh, and once they have one for Mac - until then, I can't play the Sims 4 anyway.

I just bought new expansion packs for the Sims 3 and the The Sims 4 will be released when college starts so I'll be busy.
I'll wait till next summer when they'll probably sell the base game with one expansion pack for the same price.

Considering I just got The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, I'm gonna say no. Even if The Sims 2 has loading screens, I could still play it for hours without getting bored. The Sims 3 I get bored with after one or two hours.

So no, I won't get The Sims 4.

I'm going to ******* it. The gameplay was very disappointing. Graphically it's not much better than 3. CAS and Build Mode were improved a lot and I like the way that the Sims look, but there's nothing revolutionary enough to make me want to spend $60.

I don't know why they're so scared to make a graphically intensive game. Catering to the common PC user is holding the series back.
