I lived in Saudi Arabia for two and a half years. It actually isn't that bad, sure some of their laws are a bit extreme but other than that I really enjoyed living there.

P.S. you forgot to mention how women can't go out without wearing a abaya.

Millions of Muslims come every year to Mekkah and its one of (if not) the most beautiful place on earth for us Muslims, I was just there 2 days ago, and I spent 4 days there and there were millions of people there, it was so magical and spiritual.

I'm a Saudi and I lived here my entire life and I've visited the US (2 times) and the UK But I've never felt comfortable because it's not my home, yeah sure we have our rules but we're happy and most importantly we feel SAFE, I can't say that about other countries .

Isn't anyone concerned by the fact that Saudi Arabia do not care about their middle eastern counterparts? They do nothing to help their fellow Islamic countries. Politically, they're selfish and a pawn of US/Israel.

I'm Moroccan as well (if you still identify as such) and I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia and never heard of this..
What kind of myth blown out of proportion, I tried googling this in both English and Arabic; found nothing.

i have an irish great-aunt who moved there and married a saudi arabian man, and she seems to have adapted to life pretty well there. so she likes it i guess. i don't see myself ever going to visit her though, for obvious reasons.
