Vine user speaks out about his 'shopping while black' video
A Vine user name Rashad Polo has pulled in over 1 Million views of his Vine video of him filming in an employee following him around at a store. He decided to do it because he was sick of white employees following him around assuming he was going to steal .
I was with my friend (who's black) and he pointed out that this is completely a normal day for him.
Like 5 minutes later in Target we walked by this white lady and as soon as she saw him she grabbed her purse

Yup this happens all the time.
I was gonna make a 400 dollar purchase but since the employee thought I was gonna steal I left.
But I made sure to tell the employee you made your store miss out on a 400 dollar purchase.
I showed him my credit card and he had a shocked look on his face and I left

This is true though, I try not to assume they're suspicious of me bc I'm black and usually think its bc I'm young but there have been plenty of times where groups of loud white girls are in the store and they only follow me around. I was at a jewelry store one time and every where I turned the employee was like right behind watching me I never shopped there again
This happens to me every time I'm in the CD section at Target. An older white employee just happens to be stocking the CD's right where I'm at. I have fun with it though, walking all over the section watching them find new ways to act like they have to be in the same spot as me.
There's also a video a white old man following these teens at a store.
Why crackers think they are hot stuff and everyone that's not white wants to steal from them?
I always steal from convenience stores when I'm drunk. My friends and I will leave and I'll have like 4 pies, 6 sausage rolls and 2 Coke Zeros stuffed in my jacket and everyone will be like "omfg, yummm!!!!!"
Which is weird because I never even stole as a teenager. But when I'm drunk and in a 7/11....always.
You can't do anything in public being black without someone thinking your going to steal something. It's sad racism still lives on. And it's sad people are in denial about it. This is a great example.
Omg, I was so mad I was shopping at Express and the manager or whoever was following around these latino guys. Like It truly made me disgusted. I told them I would never shop their again.

I had the exact same thing happened to me and my bf but we are white. It is the most annoying thing ever and we called them out on it too. Dumb bitches
