P!nk has been MASSIVELY successful there since I'm Not Dead (when she had thirty something shows, still more than PWT)
But the thing is, she has KEPT that success for this long.
Gaga was also successful, in Australia, once upon a time.

An advantage is an understatement. If you are still there after 10, 15 years, you are doing really good and almost all your former rivals are gone.

Good question whether Katy keeps going up or she will start decline. She reminds us that CDT might be her last big tour. She made the movie to be able to show her kids what she did once upon a time. This tour she is asking if we would stay with her if her singles does like #97 instead of the #1s.

You must also be able to LAST 10-15 years and stay on top like P!nk did in Australia.
I mean sure P!nk has been so popular there for so long that it's probably become a habit to buy her album when it comes out and go to see her when she tours, for many aussies, but still you gotta be able to keep the longevity to have that. That's the hard part.
Y'all are talking about her longevity and advantage as if she didn't work HARD for it.

I don't mind Katy being successful, i hope she is.

When you are established, already have the fanbase/customers and they keep returning.

It's different from the artists having to recruit fans and hoping that they keep returning.

The recruiting/expansion might not get past Carly's 1 fan and 19 strangers or Karmin's 4 fans showed up.

You're not implying that Katy is in the recruiting stage are you?

Anyway, P!nk was way bigger than Katy is now even with I'm Not Dead. And if you didn't know, her previous tour there with Try This bombed. It was barely 50% sold at each venue. The tour continued on to build a legacy. I'm Not Dead ended up 10 times platinum, one of the best selling in austrialia of all time and the tour was at the time, the biggest female tour with a paltry 35 shows

Katy isn't anywhere near P!nk
