The TD era began in 2010, right? In 2011, Gaga landed at #1 on the Forbes Celeb 100 while Katy didn't crack the top ten. Despite #1 singles in 2010 from Teenage Dream, the era that year failed to do much for Katy.
In 2012, Gaga landed at #5 while Katy landed at #8, which means Katy's era didn't do enough for her to eclipse Gaga.
In 2013, after the final year of both eras, Gaga landed at #2 while Katy failed to crack the top ten, which means again that Katy's era didn't do much for her.
As big as Katy's singles were, they didn't bring in as much cash as Gaga's music and touring, nor did they have as much impact seeing as they didn't help Katy become "more powerful". Sometimes stans on ATRL forget that #1 singles don't really mean all that much in the long run.
