Mess @ Gaga, Cher, and Elton John being excluded when Macklemore and Demi were #3 and #4 respectively. Maybe if they were towards the lower end of the list it would be fine.

How did Gaga help the gays exactly? Singing about them? Like I can't think of a single thing she did for the GAY community, only for it, without her name being glorified.
And Elton John? like did he help all the GAYS when he got married to a woman Renate Blauel for 4 years and portrayed the normal closeted gay life. That was REALLY helpful.

which ego of Madonna are you referring to ? outrageous Madonna or feminine Madonna ? she used to be hated in 80s for being outrageous but unlike lady gaga, she know how to reinvent herself to taking back the love from society so dont compare her to lady gaga, and Mackelmore doesn't mention gays as much as lady gaga, she keeps mentions gays just for a reason
you mean that you can't accept your sexual orrientation or dont have the brave for coming out ? they're two difference things, howrever should i believe what you said ?

So you can use stereotypes but Gaga can't support gay rights? Makes even more sense. This reply is pointless when Swiss clocked your points and then some. And to your last question, I couldn't give a f-- what you believe considering you are delusional enough to hate a popstar enough to assume their support of gays is actively causing barriers between straight and gay people, an issue you claim is the most important in gay rights in earlier comments despite disliking anyone who isn't gay doing anything about it.
Your Madge stanning in this only shows your true agenda tho.

Madonna is really deserving of this type of praise, she really was there for the LGBT community when almost no one was

I do feel the need to reply to this post, albeit my response will be , indeed , a little off topic.
First , Gaga did not 'ruin her career' , it's too early to really tell.
Second, even if her career is indeed 'ruined' that didn't happen because she conciously ruined it going all the way into the "Gay Cause'.
If anything, it was because of her over the top persona. Someone who constantly makes me think of a megalomaniac and, also, someone obesessed with ideas of grandeur. These are the main reasons/issues regarding her steep decline in such little time frame IMO.
Others follow , but those are really not THAT important so I'm not even go through them .

Gaga - Millions of dollars donated to pro-LGBT organizations around the world, most notably being the RE*Generation campaign that helps homeless LGBT youth.
Elton - Has one of the biggest AIDS awareness foundations in the world and has raised millions upon millions and continues to do so every year.
But maybe if they performed with a straight person, like Macklemore, at the Grammys, you'd find their contributions more "authentic".

If we're being real: Madonna (and one or two others) have never promoted any image of the gay community other than stereotypes and heel-wearing queens.

This list is a mess. Gaga should've been #10, not top3 like some of you suggested.

Yeah sure sis. So has every other performer who has had male dancers on stage with them. But not all of them lowered that image to stereotypical bathroom stall bottom-feeder status.

In addition, there is just as much criticism of Madonna's support as there is Gaga's. She has been slammed for her "exploitation" just as much as Gaga has, but somehow she is more sincere? I mean, Madonna literally latched onto Macklemore, the new hot thing at the moment, and performed with him while they, two straight people, married a bunch of gay people at the Grammys. Is that not exploitation?

It's pretty hilarious (and very transparent) the way you keep singling out Madonna's performance with the straight Macklemore as her contribution to the fight for LGBT rights, whilst conveniently ignoring the countless other things she has done over the last 30+ years of her career!!

Let's keep it quiet a tad with donations and stuff. We all know all the celebrities donate and do charity in order to evade taxes. Yet again, with all her donations, she still didn't really help much, not even in a top 50 list.
ARE YOU FOR FREAKING REAL? You deserve permaban tbh. Associating LGBT with AIDS, that's the 1st thing that came to your mind? Last time I checked, STR8 people were also affected by the HIV virus, and plain ignoring the fact that he portrayed a typical closeted gay for so long, even marrying a woman, sums it up with his help in the LGBT community.

Considering her a gays-exploiter is delusion ? sorry but not sorry for labeling your fave like that, iīm not the only one in this thread calls her a gays-exploiter, every other fanbase knows that gays is just the trick in her career but only blind one canīt and let her keep exploiting them as an army to attack any artist that doesnt like her.

i dont hear of anyone calling Madonna exploiting gay except LMs, and you. the only reason straight people used to hate her for supporting gays is because gay was stereotypically related to Aids in 90s. you sound 12, Madonna's been always supporting gays since the beginning of her career. just because she's 50+ now does that mean she doesn't have the right to support gays anymore with anyone ? how was performing with Mackelmore exploitaion while she didn't have album or tour to promo at the time ?
|
Tbh this just shows your hypocrisy, Gaga has been supporting LGBT community since the beginning of her career. It is not her fault that she was born years later Madonna and couldn't show her support during the 80s/90s.

Well this list is mostly ******** (Macklemore? ), but that omission is completely deserved no matter how much delusional stans will try to debate otherwise.
