Just because Katy makes power anthems that aren't about getting high or having sex doesn't mean that her music is simply "cute pop jingles".

Some people think sex and raunchiness is the answer to everything. Looking at some of these girls' receipts, it obviously isn't.

Prism will be forgotten very easily, that's my opinion. People won't remember this album in three years

But it went on sale after TD, CG, and FW smashed so let me stop you right there. And her previous tour was in 2009 after IKAG and HnC smashed and it only grossed 1.6M WW. So let me stop you right there.

I was going to say something shady but then I realized I stan for Gaga whose last album has gone missing from MediaTraffic a long time ago and who hasn't scored a legitimate global hit since Alejandro (BTW was only a hit because of the hype hence the poor longevity) so I can't really say anything.

I said it before and I am going to say it again, katy's hits are bigger than her and getting big views with her kinds of videos is nothing to brag about, I mean look at bieber's videos' views. How in hell Prism hasn't hit 4m WW after her kind of promotion, two huge successful hits and already 4 singles released? And it would be embarrssing for her to not gross 100m with Prism tour when all her peers have done it sooner in their careers.

If you look at her album's chart position right now you realize that the only thing keeping it from falling are her sales from English speaking countries: Canada, Australia/NZ and the US.

9M and 6 weeks of #1 hype tho.

Yeah, it has no impact.

I've said this in SYG as well but I'd give up one of my hamsters just to see Gaga sell 3 million copies of an album again + score huge hits again. The "impact" can serve as an extra.

Prism is obviously an against-the-odds continued worldwide, monstrously successful album - especially in terms of singles which are pretty much the best thing an artist could hope for in this day and age. Singles = publicity.

She is still going to outsell every pop girl including BEYONCÉ in the long run so idk why people are refusing to give her credit given the current sales climate.
