The only one I really agree with from that list is Part of Me. It's easily the worst #1 of the bunch, and it's her lowest-selling #1 along with the least longevity of them all.
All of the other songs' popularity is representative of their peaks.

People were not forced to buy the song. I don't understand exactly how it was a "game" when Billboard allows this within their guidelines. If it were so much of a problem, I think they would have discontinued their policy by now (it's been three years since then). Besides, LFN was a viral video at its time. It would have easily shot to #1 if the "2013-present
Hot 100" was in effect.
