I never had the slightest impression that her 2014 "overseas tour" was ever going to be more than appearances and interviews, perhaps accompanied by a song or two if on a TV show. I can't even imagine an American pop artist performing a first concert tour abroad and not at all in the US.
The album of hers that would give me the greatest pleasure could never become a great hit. It might have been possible decades ago, but not today.
