Honestly, they can do better. Part of me kind of hopes they are because this could be great for them. They have a good chance of getting picked up by another record label, and I think they're going to be just fine. Epic was screwing them over, like they have all of their other artists. Karmin can do better. They are really talented and I think it's a smart career move for them to find someone who makes their career more of a priority than Epic did.

He's the one who produces and writes all their music. Amy would be just another "quirky" white girl rapper without Nick and his music know-how to put the pieces together and make her look/sound good. The last thing we need is another pearly white, try-hard, kidz bop, bubblegum version of Ke$ha. At least as a duo they have something interesting going for them.

Brokenhearted did pretty well. The GP doesn't care whether an act is "solo", "duo" or a "band", as long as they're serving hot bops. BH was well timed and the style fit the sound that was hot in mainstream at the time.
I liked their new album, but it just didn't resonate as well with the current trends, and Epic mishandled it as usual. Hopefully they get picked up by a better label because they make a great team.

It's more of a blessing to be dropped or leave Epic records. It's almost as if you're not even signed. That said, the girl should just go solo or drop the guy. I always thought 'Karmin' was just her until I Wiki'd the name after hearing "I Want It All", anyway.

They lack direction. Their new album is all over the place trying out every trend that occurred in the past few years. I love them but they need to sit down and really think about what kind of music suits them best and create a record with that core sound. They're not afraid to try anything, but they need to figure out what works best for them.
