I've met a lot of people who say you are dumb for smoking weed or that you must just be doing it to try to be "cool". Some of those people who later gave it a chance (as in smoked it more than just once) took back those words and are some of the biggest tokers I know. Are people who don't give marijuana a fair chance ignorant for acting like they know why people smoke or assuming it's bad for you and that you're "addicted"? Forget the legality of this question; it's more than that.

Deaths from weed are very low. Any substance has the possibility to kill you. There are tons of factors involved. Most people who smoke weed sit around and do nothing, except maybe eat and drink a ton of water to get rid of the cotton mouth. I personally don't do it, but I don't see hating it as being ignorant.

I'd recommend not trying it because it is easy to become addicted to.

Well, I do think a lot of people who are against it are (in my experience) unable to think critically, and simply go with what's been conventional wisdom / the status quo in our societies.

Ofc you cant overdose from smoking pot. But do you want your brain to get addicted to drug ? That much that when your receptors are not hugely stimulated anymore, you feel lazy, amotivated or even depressed ? No thanks, I want to keep clear consciousness as much as I can. I think like any drug/substance that alters your mind, it's a personal choice. Idc what other people do with their lives as long as it doesn't negatively impact others.

For example, idc if you drink underage, or even drink alcohol legally - but when you drink and drive and endanger others, THATS when I have a problem. Same goes for weed and other drugs.
