New R&B Girls talk about Beyonce, Rihanna and Ariana
I don't know if this is already posted but read this and though good folks at ATRL might enjoy this

She says Rihanna and Beyoncé reinforce stereotypes. “They’re the main culprits because they’re so in the mainstream,” she says. “I agree that your body is your own, but I do think they have a responsibility. They’re making young women think, to get where they are, they have to twerk or use their bodies, and it’s not true. It’s scary and damaging.”

“Ariana Grande is a great example of a pop star who is very beautiful, and her music is equal in its own way, but she looks so deeply uncomfortable, like she’d rather be playing with her horses,” laughs Lanza. “I feel so sorry for her: she looks like a deer caught in the headlights.”

Rosie Lowe is also disappointed to see an artist she admires reduced to cavorting: “I’m a huge fan of Beyoncé, but I do find it really sad how sexualised the visuals are,” she says. “My view is, if you’re watching it and you feel uncomfortable, it’s gone too far. You shouldn’t be making your female audience feel uncomfortable about their bodies by over-sexualising your own.”
When will new artists learn that attempting to put down already established and bigger artists before their career has even taken off will never propel them into stardom like they want? If anything, it hinders them from being successful.

How does Beyoncé make young women think that they have to use their bodies to get where they are? It's clear Bey got where she is because of her dedication and talent, she shows that and makes sure everyone knows that...girl sit
As for the Ariana Grande comments How do you know how she feels?
I wasn't expecting new relevant R&B girls lol. (Sevyn, Jhene, Mila J, Tinashe) these girls can sit down somewhere. At least be somebody and have some type of career before you come at other people.
The beyonce comments are unnecessary !! Stanning aside everyone know she is a spokesperson for feminism and her raunchy videos are just because this is era of 3 wave of feminism where it is allright for a women to show her body because she is not pleasing the opposite sex , it's because she wants to do it
