I read the book first without knowing the movie was about to come out. I cried the whole book but didn't cry during the movie, just sob. The soundtrack of the movie is on point tbh. I kinda expected more of Not About Angels.

To be air though, the commercials didn't really do the movie justice, they made that "you put the thing that kills you between your teeth but never give it the power" scene look a lot more cheesy than it actually was.

I rarely watch sad movies in the theater because I'm terrible at holding back my emotions. My nan took me to see Marley & Me years ago and I was practically screaming. but agreed, it was quite the emotional roller coaster with a lot of scenes that really stuck with me afterwards. Every I've talked to seemed to have been really struck by the Hazel's eulogy for Gus, but for some reason that scene didn't hit me as hard as others, Gus' eulogy for Hazel on the other hand.. Lord.

It's REALLY good! I wonder how long the wait-list for the book is at my library.

but.. but.. I wanted to see an unnecessarily large amount of explosions.
Maybe A Million Ways To Die In The West, instead? I haven't heard anyone really about it though.

Then watch Pain & Gain. It's a Michael Bay film that has some explosions, yet not too many, and actually has a nice storyline and cast.

I didn't hear a lot of great things about AMWTDITW. The cast is amazing and the trailers look funny, but I'd be weary about that one.
