You fail to realize that much of the difference is made up in music club sales which were huge in the 90's.Mucic club sales are not included in soundscana neither are some other outlets.
And Shania was the #1 seller in music clubs and her COO album is also the #1 seller in music clubs.
Metallica aren't even in the top 100 in music clubs.
Remeber in the 90's music clubs were huge.
Soundscan only reports outlets that pay for them to report.
Some sources like music clubs and other outlets don't use soundscan and their sales aren't included in that .
