What's the point of requesting yourself a ban when all you have to do is simply not sign in?
I never was banned, so I would like to know what happens too. Obviously you're not allowed to post, but can you still log in and see your wall posts etc?

That's ridiculous

All you see is a blank page informing you that you've been banned, with a reason and the time it will be lifted at. No matter where you try to go on the site, even your own wall, it will show that message and nothing else.

why is there two members from isreal going off topic in the arabic talk thread we're doing nothing but talking about general stuff and they're coming for us about hating them and wanting to bomb their country

Just because it's already written in the rules doesn't make it any less ridiculous. So what if someone posts a smiley and nothing else. Sometimes smileys are the perfect reactions.

exactly. It depends on the context. If it's a flamebait post and you laugh at it, you're, in somehow of way, consigning it which might lead into a WP. If you post something like , you're actually disagreeing with it and you're safe.

If it's a troll thread and you only post a smiley, without quoting anything, it shouldn't get warned I guess.

Edit: it should get warned because is disruptive and pointless as ****. Like some members only post "" or "" to increase their post count. But then again, I'm not a mod so I'm not sure if I'm right.

How come Britney stans wrote she looks 16 or 20 in the thread when it was first posted and when I post this pic of her, it's considered flaimbait? Mods have the prerogative to decide if my opinion is fake?

you can't take for a fact that Britney looks X years old in that pic and thats why it's a discussion, it's really abuse of power from mods imo

Some posts don't need reactions. Not only are you contributing nothing to the thread, but you're also bringing attention to an inappropriate post and potentially derailing the thread; you're also likely encouraging the user to continue posting similar messages to make others laugh, even if it's not a positive response, any reaction is a good one for a troll. Simply chuckle at the post and continue scrolling. As someone who enjoys writing such detailed responses, you should be able to appreciate the staffs efforts to keep everything on-topic and avoid the possibility of threads turning into everyone quoting posts with smilies. This is a discussion board, after all.
