This comment had absolutely nothing to do with the comment I made. My comment wasn't about which side is right and which side isn't right in the conflict. In one thread, people are making a blanket statement: "It's disgusting to cheer on missiles and attacks." They're not saying that it's specifically bad for the Israelis to do it - they're saying it's a bad thing to do in general. Yet in this thread, those SAME people are saying "It's well deserved to cheer on missiles and attacks."
I get that people are against Israel in this conflict, and the goal of my post wasn't to try to convince people that they shouldn't be against Israel. My point is that people just randomly flip their general statement when it suits them. You know,
people are allowed to take a side without agreeing with EVERYTHING they do. Just because people are pro-Palestinian doesn't mean they have to congratulate the citizens who are cheering on missiles that are being targeted at civilians.
A person either thinks it's disgusting to cheer on missiles, or they don't think it's disgusting. People should pick one and stick with it - they shouldn't just flip-flop between them to further emphasize their opinion that they're anti-Israeli, because WE GET IT - they're anti-Israeli.
So yes, it is a double standard.
