So was Roar. And Roar was ignored as well. Good video, huge hit, but not nominated.
You need to understand that it's not ignoring her. They just nominate the biggest and recent hits, that's all.

I kinda disagree but agree with you at the same time, its definitely about who and what is big at the time for sure but Applause was a decent hit and all of you claim for Gaga to be a big star then the question is why wasn't she nominated?
So does that make her previous nominations and wins null and void cause she was just what was big at that time?

Applause was a decent hit. Almost 3x platinum in the US, 4M WW. It's decent. The single, however, would be one year old by the time of the ceremony.
Even Roar which sold basically twice what Applause sold couldn't make it
