I agree with this! Gaga definitely changed (and not for the better) after The Fame Monster. None of her songs have been quite as catchy or inspiring as when she debuted. Also her style just went beyond over the top and I think for a lot of people stopped being as relatable.
I don't think it is an insult or shade...some people prefer the old Gaga hype machine versus this new one which borders on being pretentious. Just because SHE views the material she has released recently as art doesn't mean we have to do the same.
Maybe she should seek out Akon, Red One, and Space Cowboy for old times sake.

Have you ever thought that it's not about being popular to her? She's still selling out her shows and doing things how SHE wants to do them. If you don't like the music/videos now, then that's fine. The G.U.Y. video was amazing, the public just didn't like the song apparently.
Cyndi Lauper was selling out arenas 6 years into her career as well (look up Cyndi Lauper: live in Brazil). It's all about the bigger picture. If the quality of her output & relevancy to the public keeps on declining like it is now, the only place she'll be able to book 10 years from now is the local library or gay bar.
I mean if Pablo Picasso was a popstar, do you think he would write lyrics like "I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath" or the iconic "One second I'm a Koons, then suddenly the Koons is me!"

Exactly. Look at how many of Nadir's produced songs flopped. Just because they had huge hits in the past didn't mean they will have huge hits in the future.
