Azealia Banks appeared on Queen Latifah's talk show earlier today to promote her big hits Paradiso and Vibes as well as to promote her new album Reborn. Also on Azealia's appearance on Queen Latifah she revealed her world tour which will start in two weeks called The Lift Off. For promoting her singles and album, Azealia performed Paradiso with elements of Vibes and then sat down for an interview with former rapper Queen Latifah to talk about the work she's put in on this album. All was eventually uploaded onto the official Queen Latifah YouTube account where the videos involving Azealia have since gained millions of views. On twitter, #AzealiaOnQueenLatifah trended throughout the program's airing. With 7 million viewers brought in, Azealia brought The Queen Latifah Show its best ratings of all time due to the hype Azealia created on twitter beforehand in which she stated she had big news that would be revealed on the talk show.

The performance for Azealia came first and she came out in a revealing white pantsuit with an intricate folding around the breast area revealing Azealia's cleavage. The white pantsuit Azealia wore was designed by Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana in a collaboration of efforts. The pants Azealia wore were high waisted and pleated in the middle. Not a single hint of color was on this cloud white outfit. The coat that went with the pantsuit was designed especially for Azealia by Valentino and it was heavily and noticeably shoulder padded. Banks stood on white Dolce pumps for this performance which made her stand a whole 6 inches taller. On stage with Azealia was nothing but a microphone and stand that were all white. For hair, Azealia had in a green and blue fro with black lips and cat-eye eyeliner that made Azealia look like a goddess from a comic book. Azealia started at the back of the stage with no music as she walked to the front where the mic was. All that could be heard was the sound of Azealia's heels hitting the stage as she stepped forward. She then grabbed the mic and began singing the first verse and chorus of Vibes acoustic. After this, Azealia then snapped her fingers and the beat to Paradiso came in where Azealia then began to rap the verses nailing each annunciation to perfection. During the performance of Paradiso, Azealia began to take off her pantsuit's jacket as she stayed sprawled on the stage performing this top 3 hit by the rapper. After a grand applause, a commercial break came and Azealia then sat down for an interview with Queen Latifah. Azealia switched into black leather pants with Louboutin Daffodil heels and the white shirt from the performance minus the coat. Highlights from the interview are below:

Q: You did great with that performance! Amazing! That was Paradiso and Vibes everyone. How do you do it?
A: Thank you! I put so much effort into this performance and I'm so happy it went well. What I do is I just give each and every performance my all. No performance gets the shoulder. I always want everything to be a little different and perfect, you know? Paradiso and Vibes are such special songs for me as I wrote them while I was in a different place in my life so I'm happy to share that with the public. On top of that, they're off of my Reborn album which is also very personal so I don't want any performance of mine to not get the grandness it deserves, you know?
Q: Right. Exactly. Your album Reborn you mentioned is very personal. Tell us how it is personal to you.
A: Well Reborn is an album that I wrote while I was in the hospital recovering from when I got hit by that bus drove by Keri Hilson so I was in such a dark place because my performances I couldn't give my all but while recovering I think I made some of the best music I've ever done. I'm so happy to share it all with the world. It was great to make it and it's great to share it.
Q: The next album you want to put out is a bounce album, why bounce?
A: Well bounce is such a fun genre. It originated in New Orleans and really bounce is such a genre that you can do so much with. Me and Diplo have been working together putting the work together and I'm real excited for the day to come when I get to share the album with everyone. That won't come for a while though so don't think it's soon!
Q: You said you have a surprise for your fans you want to share here today!
A: Yes I do have a surprise! I am going on a worldwide stadium tour starting in two weeks! Along with that next week I'll be on a weeklong residency in Los Angeles performing in the Nokia Theatre every day for 7 days. The big worldwide tour I'm doing though is called The Lift Off because I'm being lifted off into the world and I'm so excited to start it. It'll be me and my good friend Celine Dion and i'm so happy to start it! Here's the tour poster:

Q: Looks great! We can't wait for it to start. It's starting in two weeks where exactly?
A: London! I'll be touring Europe first and I'll then go to Asia and then Australia. I plan to end the tour in the US. Be sure to keep an eye out for when dates and tickets go on sale! I'm so excited to start this.

On tonight’s episode of American Idol, Zedd and Lady Gaga joined Rihanna and Britney Spears as performers on the show. They performed their latest single, which is called “Temple.”

The performance started out with the stage covered in fog. Zedd runs out from the left of the stage. He looks around, and then heads to a DJ deck on the right of the stage. Lady Gaga comes out from behind the giant screen behind the stage, and stumbles. She picks herself back up. Gaga is wearing an elegant floor-length pinkish-white dress. Her hair is medium-length, blonde with pink highlights, curly, and poofy.


Gaga, realizing her dress would hinder her movement, takes off the dress, revealing a white one-piece suit that is similar to the one she wears in the music video for her song G.U.Y. (which was also produced by Zedd).


Gaga continues slowly walking towards center stage. At this point, the fog has cleared out. Zedd starts playing the song. As Gaga starts to sing, blue lights shine on her. Below her, a pedestal rises from the stage. When it stops about a foot off the stage, she jumps off as dancers start running in. They then move in front of the pedestal and start doing the choreography for the first chorus. Gaga then runs to the crowd to high-five some of her Little Monsters and also American Idol fans. She then runs back to the middle of the stage to perform the choreography for the second chorus. As the bridge inches closer, Gaga heads to the piano on the left of the stage. Zedd stops the backing track as Gaga starts playing an extended bridge on the piano. She hits extremely high notes that make the audience instantly start clapping. As she finishes the bridge, she has a 10 second piano breakdown, after which Zedd starts the backing track back up at the final chorus.


She does the choreography for the final chorus. After the song ends, she and Zedd encounter two police officers who seem to recognize them. Fog again fills up the stage. When it clears out after about five to ten seconds, Zedd and Lady Gaga are out on center stage and bow. The audience gives them a standing ovation as well as the judges.

The judges then had to comment on the performance. Well, they didn’t have to, but they wanted to. All three judges gave the pair the thumbs-up. Jennifer Lopez stated that she absolutely loved it. She said, “I saw nothing wrong with the performance. Gaga, Zedd, you’re both flawless.” Keith Urban stated, “Well, this isn’t usually my choice of genre, but you two made me like the song. You are that good.” Harry Connick, Jr. highlighted the fact that it could have experimented more with theatrics; he stated, “I noticed you flirted with theatrics in that performance. I would have actually either went all-out there or just done a simple performance. Otherwise, I loved it. I would definitely watch it again.”

Ryan Seacrest then stated that they had to cut to commercial, but made sure to say, “’Temple’ is out right now on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon! The music video is on iTunes, YouTube, and Vevo. Zedd’s new album Serenity will be out on July 21! We’ll return with more results after the break!”

Online, acclaim has been coming in from various different websites. One user on the pop music forum ATRL stated that “It made me like Gaga again. But I’ll always be a Katy stan!”

Multiple appearances are scheduled for this week to attempt to push “Temple” to the number one spot.

Billboard talks about Mariah Carey's sales

Billboard Magazine decided to cover on the topic of Mariah's recent success on their upcoming issue. The issue was promoted by Billboard Magazine on a viral scale on YouTube, using both "Libidinous Dream" and "The Stygian Chevalier" as the audio in the background to hype up the upcoming issue. Here is a glimpse of what Billboard covered in their latest issue on Mariah's sales:

The Stygian Chevalier is back. After experiencing flops after flops dating back to 2012, Mariah Carey is finally back in the upper regions of the charts with her lead single, "Libidinous Dream" even after being in the music industry for 24 years, and it seems like she is not backing down anytime soon. The lead single, "Libidinous Dream", off her latest album, "The Stygian Chevalier" peaked at #2 last week (Being blocked by Britney Spears "Gimme Your Best" by a close margin) after huge promotional push was made by the Camouflage Records team and Mariah herself. Debuted at #19 two weeks ago, "Libidinous Dream" gave Mariah her highest chart position in years two weeks later. The last time she reached the top 3 with a lead single was when "Touch My Body" reached #1 back in 2008. The reason behind the success of Mariah's latest lead single lies behind her ability to explore new genres and make herself evolve as an artist even after being in the music industry for 24 years. "Libidinous Dream" has since created a whole new sub-genre called "Disco Trap" in which a lot of people have hopped on the bandwagon ever since. "Libidinous Dream" has also been certified Gold with over 850,000 copies sold both digitally and physically combined.

Moving on, Mariah Carey unveiled her second single earlier this week which is revealed to be "The Stygian Chevalier", the album title track of the same name. Mariah made a huge and risky statement last week about this track saying that it could be a "We Belong Together" size hit if it is promoted on a huge scale. Interpolated from Maxwell's song, "Fortunate", this Alternative-Soul and R&B song has Mariah incorporating trap-inspired beats alongside with her soulful vocals. "The Stygian Chevalier" will definitely become the dark horse of the charts if promoted on a huge scale and with the right time. With huge releases this week such as Taylor Swift's "Loverboy" and the collaboration between Britney and Rihanna "Touchin' Me", Mariah's "The Stygian Chevalier" is definitely threatened to debut on the higher regions of the charts this week. But history has taught us not to count her out, she reached a huge downfall with "Glitter", but managed to rise back like a Phoenix to the top of the charts with "The Emancipation Of Mimi" a few years later, so anything is possible with Mariah.

Although peaking at #3 with her latest album, "The Stygian Chevalier", the album debuted with a astonishing 309,000 copies during its release week. "The Stygian Chevalier" debut gives Mariah her biggest first week sales since her album "E=MC^2" back in 2008, which debuted on top of the charts with 463,000 copies sold. Mariah seems to also have longevity on the album charts this week as the album stays at its peak position for the second week. The album sells 310,000 copies for the second week and experienced a gain of 1,000 copies in comparison to her release week. "I'm glad that "The Stygian Chevalier" is still selling strong and I have to thank the fans for being with me through good and bad times of my life.", says Mariah Carey when asked by a fan on the streets of NYC. Camouflage Records CEO has also stated his excitement over the success Mariah is currently having on Twitter and he reveals that a huge promotion is planned for next week and that people will be pleasantly surprised.

As shown on Big Brother tonight, Julie Chen woke up the houseguests early today. The houseguests were ticked off about not getting their beauty sleep, but were excited for what was about to happen. They did not know what was happening, but they were sure it was going to be good. They gathered in the living room to discuss what was going on. Julie said to the houseguests. “Someone… no, there are a couple very special guests waiting for you outside. They can’t wait to meet you! Also, I apologize for waking you all up so early. I’m sure you’ll find it worth it, though.”

They went outside to the courtyard, and sure enough, there were a couple special guests waiting for them! They weren’t just any special guest, however. They were Lady Gaga and Zedd! Everyone started screaming and cheering at the sight of them. Frankie was especially the most excited of them all.

“Hello Big Brother House!” said Zedd. “We’re here to give you a special performance of our new song!”

Lady Gaga made sure to mention the name: “It’s called ‘Temple.’ Are you guys ready?”

The houseguests cheered. Apparently they weren’t loud enough, so Gaga said, “I can’t hear you!”

The houseguests cheered as loud as they possibly could. Zedd then started playing the track.

The performance was a more stripped-down performance compared to her other performances of the song, but she still put on quite a show! Zedd and Gaga were on a stage with a small area for Gaga and her dancers, as well as a DJ deck for Zedd. Gaga had a couple of dancers behind doing the choreography with her. She was wearing a Hindu-themed short dress as she danced around extensively. Her dancers picked her up for the second chorus and carried her to the houseguests. A moshpit–like gathering formed for the second chorus. She broke out of it for the bridge, singing the song’s trademark high notes. She then did the final chorus choreography, and then the song ended.

The houseguests loved the performance! They clapped and cheered. All of them went up to hug Zedd and Gaga. They asked for another song. She said, “Well, since Zedd’s here, I’ll do Aura. And if you want, I could even do Clarity!”

The houseguests cheered, and she performed both songs. She did a bit of choreography, and went down to the houseguests for some of the performance. Both songs were aired in shortened form on tonight’s episode of Big Brother, but were performed in full. The full performances of each song will be able to be found on YouTube later tonight.
