I took it a couple of years ago. I didn't prepare much. Only studied the vocab really well (or so I thought).

Got 4.5 in essay
159 in English
and I think 156 in Math.

These are pretty average results and I was not happy with them, but then again, I did not prepare and just wanted to see what it was like. Time was a problem during the math section.

Did you get in to the places you wanted too?

What is GRE? I came here thinking it was something about Greece.

Worst. Exam. Ever.

Just study as much as you can. Try and learn as many new words as possible, having a huge vocabulary will help you by miles with the qualitative part.

Well for the Grad school I want to go to they said they only want 50th percentile but they may get rid of it I need to check in on it, but I'm so lazy

Good luck sis. Im still debating grad school, so I don't know if I'll take it... most likely though. Def. get an app for GRE vocab and buy a prep book to review math stuff. What program are you planning to apply to?

Grad school for education

I'm a Neuroscience major, so a master's program to get some resume boosters for a MD/PhD program.

Hope you get in! Can't you apply for a PhD program right away? Idk if its the same for neuro but for most psych programs when you get into a PhD program, you get your masters along the way. PhD sounds really taxing though I can't imagine writing a dissertation

It's not very specialized. Prepare for it the same way you did for the SAT/ACT.
