And neither side in this is right. Israel didn't start the war. The people were kicked out of their land by invaders, then persecuted WW, then sent back to Israel after the Holocaust because no country wanted to house the surviving Jews and then attacked by every single neighboring country once they finally made it back to what was once their country.

It's understandable people would want the Israelites out, though, because while they are taking a land back that was originally theirs, other people had set up homes there in the meantime.

the reason the deaths are disproportionate is because israel spends a lot of energy and money on protecting its citizens with things like the iron dome, and the proper bomb shelters. the government is first and foremost concerned with protecting its citizens. that does not in any way, shape or form, change the fact that while israel targets only terrorists, Hamas (a terrorist, totalitarian government that does not give a crap about protecting its innocent civilians) has declared open seasonon any israeli person, soldier, child, civilian, ANYONE. In addition, hamas uses its people as human sheilds and they have no proper bomb shelters built because all the focus and money is on killing as many people as possible (in israel) and not saving as many people as possible (of their own civilians). rockets are fired from civilian homes and civlian neighborhoods. People are told that it is their duty to put themselves in harms way and to die for the cause. THAT is why the amount of deaths is not equal. It is certainly not for lack of trying that hardly any israelis have been killed. Israel does what it can to warn innocent people not to be in terrorist set ups, but like I said. Hamas discourages its civilians from saving themselves.
