That would be a good idea... if "The Leftovers" was just a little bit more interesting. The first episode was good, almost like a short film instead of a pilot episode. The second episode had no energy whatsoever and felt lethargic. The third episode was a slow burn, but had a payoff at the end. The writers on "The Leftovers" need to give the viewers something to keep us invested in watching, i.e.
WHY should I care about how these people deal with it? Conversely, enough crazy s*** happens on "Under The Dome" on CBS to keep viewers coming back for more. "The Leftovers" is more art house, while "Under The Dome" is more pop art. I don't know if Leftovers' art house is translating well enough on television, though, but we've only seen three episodes. I'll have to wait until the season is over. "AHS: Asylum" did art house with an edge pretty well, though.
