A tourist who was visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom lost two fingertips on his right hand in an accident on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, Florida television station WPTV reported on Friday.

The unidentified man, who was from the United Kingdom, lost the tips of his ring and pinky fingers on the popular Disney attraction on Thursday and had to be taken to a hospital, according to the local TV station.

It was not immediately clear how the accident occurred.

Tragic. Further info states that the man's fingertips got wedged during the drop on the ride. The man will not be suing Disney, and admitted it was his own fault.

How can he NOT be suing?

Because it was his fault for keeping his hands outside of the boat, when the ride clearly warns you against this, as well as the queue.

I've been on that ride and it's so messy. I heard about somebody almost drowning there a few years ago so this does not surprise me

I wonder if they froze his finger tips so that he could have them re-attached
