Yes but I understand why the labels do it if its in the case of Wake Me Up or something, because they don't want people to have to learn two new names.
But if its in the case of Come Get It Bae where both of the artists are already well known

omg I HATE this so much. It's like a slap in the face to the artist. Especially when it's a DJ/Producer's song, and that DJ/producer didn't provide any vocals of their own to the track.

Like yes, we know you produced and possibly even wrote the song. But if you're going to put vocals on your track, and you're not using your own voice, the least you could do is give a small semblance of credit to the vocalist.

Wake Me Up is a perfect example of this. I mean if the vocalist decides they don't want to be credited then fine, but otherwise...

She does NOW, because everyone knows who she is. But back when it first came out, she definitely wasn't credited.

I don't know where you live but in the US she was not credited on the song at all when it originally came out and thus she received no money from the sales of it. She's talked about this before in interviews.

She was credited under the name of Third Ward Thrill.

Seriously? Maybe it's because I saw the song first on the internet. I probably imagined seeing her name, because I knew her name because of that song.
