Lilly Wood, The Prick, & Robin Schulz - "Prayer In C"
This song has just debuted at #1 in Germany & Switzerland this week.
Just like "Waves", "Changes", and "Jubel", this is another one of those melodic house songs that are the rage in Germany and currently taking over all of Europe as well (like "I Got U", "My Love", "Hideaway", & "Rather Be").
This song is slaying my life right now! But because it's not from a popgirl, ATRL won't pay attention to this, eventho this is slaying the UK (nearly top 100 on pre-orders), Europe and Australia at the moment
The remix is basically a sped up version of the original. This song grew on me. I don't like her raspy voice at some parts, though. The lyrics also don't match the dance version at all
I like both the original (musically it reminds me of Valley of the Queens by Ayreon for some reason - the acoustic version) and the remix for different reasons.
The lyrics work better in the original. I love how you gradually find out what's the song about. "oh, it's a break up song" then "wait... what?"
I like the emphasis on the melody in the remix.
I've been seeing this on top of the Shazam (global) charts for a while now. I'd expect this to crossover in the States by the end of the Fall season. Pretty nice track.
