Sara Bareilles Sings 'Chandelier' Better than Sia... Sara absolutely killed her ‘Chandelier’ cover; singing it almost acapella, only backed by the small guitar she was playing. There was no tiny flaw. Everything was perfect. Her vocals were crystal clear and powerful.
How brilliant is her cover??? Seriously! Our jaws are STILL on the floor!
Let's hope that since Sara's started her tour we get MANY more covers like this one!

Sara seemed to be struggling with her upper register the past year, not getting the raw power on the high notes on Brave live like she did in studio. Those were D5's. In this performance she delivered flawlessly executed Db5's, incredibly vibratory Eb5's and two full voice F5's. And, unlike Sia, she did it without cracking like a pane of glass being shot by a missile. Sara is on track to become an unstoppable vocal monster.
When she sings the line "I'm hanging on for dear life, won't look down, won't open my eyes" I get chills. So much emotion and pain. The original production takes away from the depth of the lyrics really.
