I feel like when they do this they make it seem like being gay is something unusual or different.
When actually it's not different to be gay than to be straight and it doesn't even need to be asked.

If he's gay, that's cool. But making it an announcement like this makes it seem like he needs affirmation. Rather than just being Gay and let everyone figure it out.

That doesn't apply here, i highly doubt he's looking for validation, he's looking for people to finally leave him be. He can't just show up with a boyfriend and go on about his life. There's no way the Aus press would allow that. I don't think ppl realize the level the aus media has harassed him about his sexuality since he was 15.
