Honestly you guys don't know that. There is an ongoing argument about whether it's based on genetics or environment or both. Before puberty you don't have sexual attractions at all, so technically anything that affects you mentally before that point could factor into your sexual orientation. There are people who remember having same sex attractions from very early points in life but then there are people who realize it much later.
