Men are naturally competitive. Dating someone your own age can be complicated because you're competing for status, jobs, etc. The age divide, where you are both at different stages of your life, can allow for more stability for some gay men. It doesn't feel like you're competing.
I don't like it really for me. Im dating a 19 year old (Im 17) and I thought that was weird enough
but if they're really in love I don't care. Whatever works for them
36 is like the perfect age tbh I feel the really older thing (51) will only be a short phase in my life. I'm thinking when I actually think about a relationship not just 'a hot fit older guy who's really nice' which is basically all I'm doing I'll end up with someone 4-7 years older than I am. Until then....
