1. Ariana Grande f/ Iggy Azalea - "Problem"
I chose this track because right from the opening seconds of the song, you hear the infectious saxophone breakdown which is definitely a trend right now. With the catchy, saxophone-driven chorus and Iggy's electrifying rap - this is the perfect song to start the night! Plus - who doesn't know this song?
2. Britney Spears f/ Nicki Minaj & Ke$ha - "Till the World Ends" (Femme Fatale Remix)
You have Britney Spears, one of the biggest names in Pop ever, plus one of the biggest female rappers of our generation Nicki Minaj, added with another big popstar Ke$ha. How more infectious could this track get? With Nicki's opening verse, everyone's definitely intrigued to stay on the floor. And with the chorus full of "oh"s and a clubby vibe, who would dare to take a seat?
3. Drake f/ Majid Jordan - "Hold On, We're Going Home"
This is the perfect mid-tempo to slow things down a bit. Drake's smooth rap with the very luxurious production automatically gives a very laid back vibe. It's a very good song to grab your partner and just grind up on the floor, still having a good time.
4. Iggy Azalea f/ Charli XCX - "Fancy"
Who does not know this song? Who? With the DJ Mustard-esque production and Charli's brilliant hook, everybody's guaranteed to go nuts to this track. Not to mention, it's headed for a possible record run on the Hot 100.
5. Shakira f/ Wyclef Jean - "Hips Don't Lie"
With the sound of the trumpets invading, everyone's certain to go back and start bopping on the floor to this iconic track. And it isn't a major 80s throwback, but more of a modern one (at least from this century), so everyone should definitely know this one!
Since it's summer time, and it's really hot, well at least in my country so to get people in summery mood what else could be better than a catchy, fun electro dance tracks about swimming pool, dancing, and ahving fun. "Just let it go tonight" as Mausi sings is her song, start this night, get undressed, and just have tons of fun, and enjoy the night away.
Ariana Grande ft. Iggy - Problem (Doubleyou Remix)
A perfect remix to get these people in dancy fun mood is in my opinion a hot remix of Ariana's latest hit "Problem" The remix is very club like, and I could see myself dancing to this. It's just evry well done, and I lvoe how all the jazz and funk parts were used in this remix. Drums, saxophone & trumpets already promises a good remix. So perfect remix for those who want to dance the night away.
For mid tempo I chose a bit of a risky choice, but very effective. This song is indeed known by many people, and I could imagine everyone dancing to this. Even if it's midtempo (a bit) it's still a killer disco floor jam, I could see people in colorful backgrounds dancing in lights and jamming to this song, because it's a very sexual and just a great song.
With football being the main thing right now, people are going crazy about it. So a perfect song for this part would be Shakira's "La La La" In all honesty I really lvoe this song, it's just so frickin addictive, and dancy. When "lego" part kicks in everybody in my family, friends all know this song. It would be perfect for a hot party, everybody singing and dancing to Shakira's football anthem number 2.
Do I even need to explain this choice, my jam, I know it since my childhood whenever there's a party which I'm in this song is always playing, it's just such a hit, total smash. A perfect way to end the party. "Stop Hammer Time"

"Animals" is the perfect song to start off the party. With a great climatic build-up and an irresistible beat, this song will be sure to get everyone's energy up and have fun dancing to!
REMIX: CAPITAL CITIES - SAFE AND SOUND (CASH CASH REMIX)
While I feel that "Safe and Sound" itself is a great dance song, this Cash Cash remix just further enhances it with a sick beat and extra rhythm that'll for sure keep everyone moving.
MID-TEMPO: GYM CLASS HEROES FT. NEON HITCH - ASS BACK HOME
"Ass Back Home" is definitely a song that is extremely catchy and dance-able. While you can bop to this on the dance floor, you can also sing-along to the song, making everything even better.
THE CURRENT 'IT' SONG: ARIANA GRANDE FT. ZEDD - BREAK FREE
As one of the current hottest artists, Ariana's first attempt at an EDM song definitely doesn't disappoint. Zedd's great club producing management on the song and Ariana's talent and power will make everyone go crazy when they hear this song, as they already with it being an iTunes hit.
THROWBACK: RIHANNA - DON'T STOP THE MUSIC
Heading back to 2007, the title "Don't Stop The Music" speaks for itself. This has a great club vibe to it that'll make everyone want the DJ to keep on spinning out some great tracks.

For the party, I decided to put together a setlist inflicted with Dancehallesque and island flavored music. It's summer and sweltering outside, why not have a taste of the tropics at the party? Enjoy the music and dance away any negative vibes that may arise from throwing a party of 60. Since it's a birthday party, I don't want the music too loud or too off the beaten path, the music should not detract from the birthday girl.
Tracks 1. Rihanna - Pon De Replay (Remix) (feat. Elephant Man) - We will start right off the bat with Rihanna's sizzling Pon De Replay Music. It's a classic throwback to Rihanna's dancehall days. Everyone knows it, but yet, it's still an under appreciated gem in Rihanna's discography. It will get everyone on the dancefloor instantly.Elephant man's patois perfectly flavors this song to set the theme for the party. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26q-RnJHsM0
2) Beastie Boys & Santigold - Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win (Major Lazer Remix) - As Rihanna passes off the torch with an airhorn, the Beasties and Santigold blast off their own as Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win starts spinning. We go off the beaten path for this one. This track will give you a little indie cred with your friends, but will still keep the people moving. Even people that have never heard the song will have no choice but to bounce along with this hot track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zNCi5vpRtc
3) No Doubt - Hey Baby (feat. Bounty Killer) - Next up is a sizzling midtempo track courtesy of No Doubt. It's ok if you can't fight to urge to sing along with this classic. There's no need for anyone to be acting shady when this track is playing, they'll be too busy dancing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wt1YkGO2Ieo
4) T.I. - No Mediocre (feat. Iggy Azalea) - This new track will burn up the dancefloor. It features a cool steel drum beat and the hot Iggy Azalea who is currently setting the charts on fire. No Mediocre - what the motto for the party should be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=gBRnXcrqHwc
5) Sean Paul - Get Busy - This will make everyone do that. Get Busy! Shake that thing along to this throwback track. Pon De Replay may be underrated, but no one can Get Busy enough. A guaranteed hit at any party, one that everyone will know and have no choice but to move along to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcTARfiJvEs

Regardless of what you think of either of these two artists, this song was meant for the dancefloor and no matter who you talk to, it gets everyone up and ready to lose it.
2. Rihanna - Where Have You Been (Hardwell Remix)
I know from experience that if you put this remix with loud speakers at a big event, it sounds awesome.
3. Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop
a Midtempo made for parties. Plain and simple.
4. Calvin Harris - Summer
It's SUMMER and it's a party song, so put this on blast y'all.
5. Sir-Mix-a-Lot - Jump On It
A lyric-chanting party anthem to close out the night. Nuff said.

1. Pitbull - Timber
Most people when it comes to dancing absolutely love a good dance song with Ke$ha in it. Despite its lyrics from Pitbull, people absolutely love the Ke$ha hook regardless
2. Selena Gomez - Love You Like A Love Song (The Alias Remix)
This is also song that I can ensure will keep people on their feet. In some ways the song is arguably catchier then the original version of the song, plus the girls should be able to dance to this while others can jive to it.
3. Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop
I chose this mid tempo since most people will know the song already and know how to dance with this suttly slower song compared to the previous song. Plus since this is a fun song still, people will not be able to lose interest in dancing to this song.
4. Iggy Azelea - Fancy
This is definitely the song of the times. Any other option would be false to submit. Even if the song is overplayed, people definitely love the beat of this song and its sick chrous! Plus when on the dancefloor, everyone wants to be able to dance to their favorite songs of today with all their friends. So this song will definitely get great reception.
5. Beyoncé - Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)
I ended up going with this song since these girls are probably single or just love this particular Beyonce song. the girls will enjoy the song regardless of being in a relationship or not as this song stands the test of time and remains the single ladies anthem of our generation

1. A great opening track so people could get immediately on their feet and start dancing (I can't afford having them eating and drinking all night). It doesn't need to be a tune that's in right now. It can also be a throwback, it depends on what you think it's best;
2. A remixed version of a song (doesn't need to be what's in right now, it's up to you). I just need something that will make people stay on their feet
I wanted to give my playlist a second theme and not just be a random collection of party songs. I decided to use songs by female duos because girl-on-girl collaborations are very in right now and seeing that the birthday celebrant is a girl as well, she's gonna love it.
1. "All Night" has that pumped up energy that is perfect for starting parties. It's very upbeat and will definitely get everybody up on their feet.
2. "Telephone - Tom Neville's Ear Ringer Radio Remix" is the perfect follow-up because it is a little less upbeat but still is full of energy. And after a slightly lesser known track, this song is perfect for everybody to sing along to.
3. "Closer" is a slightly slower track that will get definitely get people closer with each other. Despite being a midtempo track, it is still perfect for jumping up and down to and for getting familiar with the nearest stranger.
4. "Fancy" is the hottest song right now and the very recognizable opening notes will most likely get a few cheers from the party people. After minutes of hardcore dancing, this song is perfect for just chilling to and slowly swaying instead of busting out kickass moves.
5. "Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)" is a novelty classic from 2002 that will definitely give nostalgia to people Anna's age. This song was very popular back when Anna's guests are still kids and hearing it now that they're young adults will be such a nice surprise. The "we are the cheeky girls, you are the cheeky boys" hook might even start a dance battle between the two genders.

1. Kids - Robbie Williams & Kylie Minogue I thought that this song would be perfect as an opening song as it also has that "throwback" vibe, yet it was released in 2000. It could make everyone to dance and bop a bit, but yet it's a grower and doesn't make you dance right away so you can prepare yourself for the next tracks.
I think this is the greatest opening track to start the party. A typical party song.
2.
It's a girl's birthday party, so my second choice is a girly song. I think its remix version is better than the original one.
3.
It's a great mid-tempo party track by a singer every girl loves. No, I'm not talking about Timbaland.
4.
This song is one of the best selling and most popular songs of 2014.
5.
Who doesn't love this masterpiece?

I chose "Hey Ya!" as the opening track because it's fun and gets people on their feet and in the mood to keep on dancing the night away.
2.
Next up is the Cash Cash remix to Katy Perry's "Birthday." I chose this remix because 1) it's a great remix/fun song and 2) it's your birthday!
3.
Afterwards, we slightly slow it down with "Fancy," but the party will never stop because it's the perfect song that keeps pumping up the party while giving it some attitude.
4.
Then, I want to play "Summer" because this song is perfect for this summertime party. The beats will make all those people who don't want to dance go crazy when that beat drops.
5.
Finally, I wanted to close it with "Yeah," which is such an awesome banger of a song that'll make everyone want to sing along and dance with their friends, being happy that they had an awesome time at Anna's party!
Save:
Bloomers (Love that you had a second theme like me )
CrazyCat (love the throwback + the opening!)
Off:
fiercE (no explanations + basic playlist )
Lucky #17 (Problem is not a great opener + safe remix choice + Hold On ain't really work in clubs unless it's a remix )
Bey_Rihstan (that Tulisa song We Are Young playing in the club The Boy is Mine playing in a club )
