You're all complaining about things that happen every genas if this was a one time thing.

The things such as open world, etc. you're all not complaining about, yet the two biggest complaints are Toddlers and Pools.

Pools = The same as Spa's.
Toddlers = Same as Young Adults.

You all invested in a franchise that makes money from expansions. The base game will include features and exclude others. You get actual community lots like Nightclubs etc. in the base game instead of having to buy Nightlife/Late Night type expansion pack.

So instead of paying for a NL type expansion, they will make you pay for another expansion instead.

Once the first EP comes out, you'll be able to get the Sims 4 and the first EP for the same price as the actual game was at launch. If you want features and are happy with the Sims 3, stay with it.

I waited until Pets before I got the Sims 3.

Only a minority of Sims fans are complaining about the actual things that matter like how the game operates, how the game functions. That I can understand.

Complaining about "oh we don't have this" and "this is missing" in a game that relies on EP is pointless. Duh!
Do you think they accidentally forgot Spa's in the Sims 3? Like...

Most people that play The Sims (the GP, if you will) don't even buy the expansion packs. They just stick with the base game or wait until things like the complete collection comes out.

I'm not going to say anything on gameplay because they still haven't shown us anything about it other than one trailer on emotions (CAS is impressive but I could just use the demo for that.. right?). If they add enough content to make up for that, sure, I'll be fine. But so far they haven't done anything to show that.

1. Young Adults were in the early Body Shop beta's, but they were removed in the final version so that the University pack could have them exclusively. They were added to the Sims 3 base game, but I'm pretty sure you lost the college feature which made them important anyway. They were just the same as Adults really. I'm pretty sure anyway, haven't played TS3 in years. Which is my point, The Sims 3 had some features and left out others, the Sims 4 is doing the exact same.

There is literally no difference. People were FUMING there were no Spa's in the Sims 3.
Now it's Pools. EA know that such a cool feature people would pay for an EP just to have.

I don't agree with it, but that's the reality. That's why I don't "aww I why don't we have...?" Cos I already know my answer.

But not in the Sims 3 base game. The Sims 2 base game was pretty much the only time we got the best of everything in a base game, EA/Maxis couldn't risk leaving anything out because if the Sims 2 flopped it would've ruined any chance for the Sims to be huge still.

Now they have a solid fan-base.

The Sims 4 doesn't contain anything LESS than The Sims 3, it just contains something DIFFERENT instead. So your whole argument about the Sims 5 getting less is invalid.

You can build more complex houses on The Sims 4.

Look how much more realistic and better the house is on The Sims 4. You can actually make your house look like a house, rather than a box. And the roads actually looks like a road rather than a random texture square.

And no they can't. The Sims 4 running THAT many live family's all at once would require hardware most Sims fan couldn't afford. The whole Neighbourhood in The Sims 3 is constantly running. GTA uses a loading technique with pre-programmed NPC's that just have to walk and look pretty, they don't have active thought processes etc.

Most Sims 3 fans can't run the game at full scale. And you want to quad-driple that?

The Sims 3 isn't going to stop working when The Sims 4 comes out. Wait until they fix your problems with Expansions.

It's no use going "yeah but" when nothing you say will change anything. Just accept it and focus on what is coming.

Which is actually a lot when you think about it. The fact my Sims are going to be able to live in realistic places like this:



rather than what The Sims 3 could do..



that alone is worth it.

And to TS4s credit, I said I would restore faith in the game IF EA would show me what is being made up for what they took out. Give me a gameplay video, a SimGuru playing their sims family in a house, and I'll be more than pleased. No CAS showcase, no buy mode, no emotion trailer, just show me how the game runs. All you talked about in that massive post is how the houses look like houses and how the roads look like actual roads. I am not hopping on the Sims 4 train and paying 60$ for a half assed game.

If it had basic stuff like the in the previous games I wouldn't be so harsh on it.
But this is EA they are probably wetting themselves at the thought of adding damn newspapers and color wheels in a future expansion.

And my computer can run 3 at full speed no problem with expansions installed at high settings.
