Many reasons, but the main reason would be the sound of the songs are not commercial enough to get a "hit" and they didnt know how to market her.

Anyone can put something on iTunes, just look at nichole337
But even unsigned, it can still go up.

There is apparently a website that you can upload to iTunes. A coworker of mine uploaded his album and he didn't even make it past judges on American Idol
