iconic movie, iconic ending

The final scene of Atonement, where Vanessa Redgrave reveals what really happened to the star crossed lovers and herself. I cry everytime. She delivers it so beautifully. I feel pity for her.

The "I'll never go hungry again," scene of Gone With The Wind. One of the greatest and most iconic shots in film history. The sheer scope and intensity of the cinematography and the score swelling triumphantly as Scarlett vows to protect herself and her land.

"I don't want realism, I want magic," scene of A Streetcar Named Desire. You've kind have grown to dislike Blanche by this point as her lies spin out of control but here you see the hope in her eyes, that sad hope that has been crushed over and over again. Keeping in mind Leigh was mentally ill with the same conditions Blanche suffered, it is just truly depressing and her pain is so masterfully woven as the illusion is brushed away and her will exposed.
