im not much into football but have been taking interest in the wc.... so i was wondering why is it that england which has such big football clubs didnt even make it to the round of 16 lol??

Because those big football clubs are made up of players that play against England for other countries in large tournaments like the World Cup. Our English players aren't strong enough.

Overpaid for what little talent they have... They need to invest in English players so we don't look like fools every 4 years.

Players from English teams get paid staggering amounts of money, so they become complacent and lack discipline and feel like they don't have to try.

Whereas, players from other countries don't have the opportunities or benefits that players from our country have, so they dedicate themselves and work harder. Our players are just lazy and don't take it as seriously.

England is just a horrible team.

Maybe its time for Scotland and UK to unite. There are simply too few good football UK born and raised players in the premier league. It is a heavy on foreign players. Maybe they also need to cut off the import numbers.
