How predictable of ATRL.......
Of all songs on Tangled Up, they had to choose the third worst songs...

K, I'll give this a shot, but just because I got excited to see Minerva in here.
I'd forgotten just how painful it was to listen to those Ashlee and Jennifer Lopez songs.

The thing with Deftones is that you could pick "Minerva", or their biggest hit, "Change", and they're still just as good as their non-singles. Amazing band.
But of course people were going to choose that Evanescence song over anything else.

I Run Away - I don't really like her songs. I think she has better ones though.
I Still - I can't believe these made the list....Terrible group.
Dido - Not bad.
Warning - Unfortunately, I forgot to send my Top 4s for Green Day, and I must admit I'm really disappointed. Its a good song, but not their 4th best.
Call Me When You're Sober - I like this song a lot. Typical Evanescence. Shame The Open Door never really stood out as an album.
Somebody Told Me - The Killers are an awesome group, and this song is definitely one of the best of the 2000s.
Megalomaniac - Good song.
Jenny From the Block - This is one of those few songs I think I liked when I was younger. I can't stand it now...
MInerva - Very good song.
Invisible - Um..No.
Girl Overboard - Now for some actual reviewing. When Tangled Up came out, the only song I could bear listening to was "Close to Love", which is now one of my least favourites. Girl Overboard was my one of my least faves.....and it still is. It sounds lazy and uninspired and worst of all it sounds like some unoriginal Europop song Basshunter would produce. Ironically, Overbvoard falls between No!No!No! and ..French on the track listing and this song sounds awful in comparison. So I guess this is quite a disappointing choice.................... 11 points.

Hmm ... I'd vigorously disagree? I think that the triad of Girl Overboard, Can't Speak French and Black Jacks is some of the boldest, grandest, most inventive pop of 2007? And, if you listen to the lyrics (which, for Girls Aloud, you kinda have to) it really is the most complete picture of infatuation I've ever heard.
I WILL BE BACK TO POST MY RANKINGS!!!

If I had to rank the songs from Tangle Up, it would be something like this.
01. Can't Speak French
02. Damn
03. Sexy!NoNoNo
04. Black Jacks
05. Control of the Knife
06. Fling
07. Call the Shots
08. Crocodile Tears
09. Close to Love
10. Girl Overboard
{Infinty}
11. What You Crying For
12. I'm Falling
Girl Overboard would have been suitable on Chemistry right next to Swinging London Town which had a similar (but superior) style.

Britney Spears, performing I Run Away
Amazing song. I didn't know this song of Brit. I really liked it.
Backstreet Boys, performing I Still
Great song. My favorite single of "Never Gone"
Dido, performing Mary's in India
One of my favorite songs of "Life For Rent". Her voice is beautiful.
Green Day, performing Warning
It's a great song. I love the video too.
Evanescence, performing Call Me When You're Sober
I like it, but they have better songs.
The Killers, performing Somebody Told Me
Great lyrics and music. One of their best songs. I love the chorus.
Incubus, performing Megalomaniac
Good song.
Jennifer Lopez, performing Jenny From the Block
Catchy song. Nice beat.
Deftones, performing Minerva
Not a fan of this band, but the song is good.
Ashlee Simpson, performing Invisible
Nice ballad.
Girls Aloud, performing Girl Overboard
It's just ok. Nothing special.

Britney Spears - I Run Away
It 's been a while since I heard this song, and I was kinda worried about how it would hold up. It's still good!
Backstreet Boys - I Still
I actually like this? Look, they're the Backstreet Boys - they're never going to exactly break the mold. They make easily digestible pop, though - and this type of AC crap is just what you need sometimes!
Dido - Mary's in India
LMAO I feel like I should be watching Oprah while listening to this. Dido really doesn't do anything but coffee table music, does she? I kept waiting for the song to pick up, and it never did!
Green Day - Warning
Oh, this is that song! Catchy enough, but not much to it.
Evanescence - Call Me When You're Sober
You know, I have a lot of problems with Evanescence - I think they resolutely mediocre, with (mostly) no redeeming value - but I have always dug this song. Although, it goes on a little too long, doesn't it? BUT ... I never noticed that laugh at the end? How sinister.
The Killers - Somebody Told Me
Still the best thing they've ever done, by a long shot. A perfect combination of 80s New Wave and 00s hedonism.
Incubus - Megalomaniac
No.
Jennifer Lopez - Jenny From the Block

I'm real ... even on Oprah - that's just me! Nothing funny, don't hate on me - whatcha get is whatcha see!

LMAO. The only part of this song that legitimately works is that tight ass sample. LMAO Put God first and can't forget to stay real - TO ME IT'S LIKE BREATHING!!
Deftones - Minerva
What Incubus was trying to do.
Ashlee Simpson - Invisible
If someone were to preserve the "John Shanks sound" in a time machine, and could only use one of his productions to do it, Invisible would be the one. Perfectly executed, from that opening lick to the thunderous closing. Genius.
Girls Aloud - Girl Overboard
The fifth best song on Tangled Up is the second best song of the week. Funny how that happens! Electric, with one foot firmly planted in the past (obviously recreating the 90s dance sound) with the other foot in the future - like every great Girls Aloud song. I think this track in particular highlights the girls' vocal strengths, with everyone given their chance to shine - but my favorite part would have to be Kimberley and Nadine's interchanging verses - fierce!

I Run Away: I'm surprised about this: 1) About this on, sorry but she has amazing songs better thyan this and 2) That actually, I love this, such an amazing b-side that should've been on Britney...
I Still: Ok, I really liked them back in the 1990's & early 2000... But this is boring, nothing compared to their previous material... And really I wonder why are they keep trying to stay in the music scene, because they're not the same... Only plain & boring ballads
Dido: Amazing voice & really Life For Rent s one of my most loved albums during these years but really this doesn't show her amazingness... A softly ballad, it's really good but not even close to her best like Don't Leave Home or White Flag... But still I love it
Warning: Good, I like it... Ok, I haven't hear that much of them but for a first listen... Really good
Call Me When You're Sober: Well, I loved back in 2006, great first single but I agree that this is not close to their powerful sound in Fallen... But the video is what still makes me love it..
Somebody Told Me: Finally, my favorite choice made it.... Really, Hot Fuss was an amazing album... It really knows how to bring the rock and the electronica, and that's their sound... really I was dissapointed with Sams Town, sounds like an every other rock album... Catchy chorus and is what I'm hooked with it..
Megalomaniac: Umm- Ok, has a strong sense... but nothing special really
Jenny From The Block: Catchy, really good... Really, one of my favorites of JLo
Minerva: If I only could understand a part of the song... Sorry
Invisible: Actually one of afew a really love from her... Good tune, and probably, the best song that could really have good vocals of her...
Girl Overboard: The 2nd best of Tangled Up... really a good dance pop track.. And yes, I'm still sad that this wasn't released. Why stopped with the third single?
