Quebec is basically already a country within a country. But it will never gain full independence.

I can see Hong Kong gaining its independence eventually. Maybe Scotland too.

The Confederacy will rise again.

The US is staying intact. States aren't going to separate.

I can see new countries developing in the Latin American region, all over Africa, Middle East, Asian areas, and across Europe.

India will split into North India and South India

French Guiana and Corsica will gain independence from France

Tasmania seceding from Australia

Tibet will go the Taiwan Route.

Jerusalem will become a city state, same with Hong Kong (or HK forming a nation with Macau) and possibly Gibraltar

Belgium will dissolve instead Wallonia and Flanders will become seperate countries

Hutus and Tutsis will form their own respective nations or Hutus will completely own Rwanda while the Tutsis will move to Burundi.

Texas and Alaska will secede from the US and possibly Hawaii, Guam will gain independence.

Scotland will secede from the UK, followed by Wales, Ireland will occupy Northern Ireland.

Sealand will get recognition

There are so many republics in Russia, maybe they will gain independence.

The Philippines had its chance for statehood, which they didn't want. We fought a war against the Phillipines after winning it from Spain to stifle their rebellion. They wanted independence and we eventually gave it to them.

As for PR, it will probably end up as a state someday. And Guam is staying a U.S. possesion, although they will never be a state. They're very patriotic there.

United States of Africa?
Hell no. We all know which country will be fed on + some North African countries. No thank you. It's fine the way it is.
