I actually tool summer classes at FIU because I live in Miami and it was just nice to take classes at home.
I absolutely loved my summer classes there. I don't know about your degree concentration but mine was computer science.
Florida States computer science program is crap compared to FIU's in my honest opinion, even if it ranks higher. FIU had a lot of modern classes, like android and iPhone development years ago, and FSU still hasn't really hopped on the train. Its like the school is stuck in the past.
But I wouldn't go full time, mainly because the school I graduated from is ranked higher everywhere.
Its also really good if you're Hispanic. The Hispanic population is majority there and they have a really strong community. And there's no better place to be Hispanic in the United States than Miami. If you're not though,
Well... Lets just say that I was one of two black students in an engineering lecture of about 240 students... It was cool though
But yeah, its a severely underrated school that has an extremely modern and progressive curriculum. If my school wasn't ranked higher, I would have went there full time because the classes were a lot more fun and progressive
