Please note that the device can have a gold, teal, red, yellow casing etc but it's more the screen and main properties of the device that tend to come in black or white.

BLACK

Black is more stylish plus white easily gets stains and looks older first.

Black is stylish, sleek and chic.

White reminds me of Stormtroopers from Star Wars and a bad 80s interpretation of futurism.

That's only for really old devices.
Polycarbonate devices don't get stained or off-colour.

I have my White Unibody MacBook from 2010 and it's still as white as the day it was made.
Polycarbonate and Aluminium devices can both look old and show wear equally the same.

Once I bought a black laptop, I could never go back.

Black don't crack.

I usually get black unless it's Apple products (I have the White/Silver iPhone 5s and White/Silver iPad mini) since white is classic and the silver shows less scratching than the anodized Space Gray and Gold colors.

It has nothing to do with the quality, I just think that they're prettier

Black. It stays cleaner and the devices is so monotoned and gorgeous.

White on the other hand does not stay monotoned. It turns into blue, pink, green, brown etc depending on what happened to the device.
