Poll: More global era: BEYONCÉ vs ARTPOP

Which era is bigger GLOBALLY in your opinion?

BEYONCÉ is arguably the bigger era in the USA, UK, and Australia. However ARTPOP did fairly better almost everywhere else, including Japan, which happens to be the world's biggest music market.

Applause also did better than any BEYONCÉ single and even DWUW did better globally than Drunk In Love in every continent. G.U.Y was arguably a bigger "hit" than Pretty Hurts so Gaga wins in both the singles and albums departments IMO. Again, this is on a WORLDWIDE scale so don't go around posting local receipts.

Fun fact: ARTPOP sold 2 million OUTSIDE the USA, and BEYONCÉ sold a bit over 1.5 million.

ARTPOP sold 700K in the U.S and 2.3M WW. Beyonce sold 2 million in the U.S and over 3 million WW. ARTPOP was more global (singles included as well)

South America - Bey? (her Brazilian sales alone probably outsold ARTPOP's total SA sales)
Asia - Gaga (but Bey's release was ****ed up and in certain Asian countries, Indonesia for example, will only be made available now, 8 months later

EU - tossup. I think Bey cuz of her advantage in the UK/NL. I don't know ARTPOP's sales in those countries tho

ARTPOP sold over 2.7 million, that 2.3 million number is outdated. It sold 2.1 million in 2013 and 500k in the first half of 2014.

But you're right, Applause was more global than the entire BEYONCÉ era.

What numbers are you using? IFPI's? If you're using IFPI for Gaga, then we gotta use IFPI for Bey as well.
