She didn't necessarily buy weed from the weed shop - they can't sell weed at those shops & it's well known that the Toronto police creeps twitter and checks out anyone who suggests that they're dealing. The one that mentioned giving her a dab could be problematic for the worker.
Possession of marijuana is illegal in Canada, period. But you can't get a ticket for possession under 30g. It still ends up on record and get you fined up to $1000/6mnths in jail and a date with a judge if the cop decides to teach you a lesson instead of ignoring it (if you're not being an idiot while high, they generally ignore you). Over 30g is a totally different affair... just so we're clear. I don't really believe that Gaga is running around buying weed in a bunch of hemp stores in Toronto.
THC only sells the "gardening supplies" for weed and marijuana related items. As for weed itself, it's decriminalized in Toronto up to 1-2oz. You can't buy actual weed at the store tho.
