It doesn't but in the show's history it has usually meant that the person is overly religious, too reliant on old-school ways of thinking (family, race, sexuality) and generally clueless things unless it was told to them by someone with their viewpoint.
100% this is not every conservative, but it is how they've been represented on the show (it makes for more drama and excitement when it comes down to it).
Now as long as they don't add a man, everything will be alright.
