I actually had the choice (both places offered me a job) between the movie theater I currently work at and a Burger King near me. Definitely went for the former. Fast food seems so difficult. I feel for all of you that do it.
I worked in McDonald's but i used to be the cashier and never made burgers, just fries and ice creams. They used to be very rude clients or kids running for their life inside, they were a few ones who threw up...
But now i work at a movie theater, and the there are a few nice clients and a few bad ones but whatever, with my salary i went to NYC last week and i'm happy there, sometimes i smell like popcorn and nachos tho.
I work in retail and it's actually okay if you understand your job and work in a decent area. We get a few horrible customers but generally speaking it's pretty good.
I've done both (currently in retail) and fast food is hands down the WORST.
i worked at Wendys for like 3 months when I was a teenager and it was hell. My managers were losers (one was a drug dealer who did his business IN the store sometimes) who thought they were special because they wore dress shirts instead of the standard issue uniforms, the customers were rude and automatically looked down on you for working in fast food so they didn't care how they treated/talked to you, safety and health code violations out the yin yang, etc.
The customers are meaner, and they sometimes, in my experiences, throw their food back at you if it's wrong. I'll never look at a Big Mac the same way.

Yep. I've never worked fast food but I know people who threw food at the cashiers if their order was made incorrectly. I just couldn't do it.
Retail is just annoying. People always trying to get discounts and stuff.

!!
Someone threw a tomato at me! It was the lunch rush and I was kinda overwhelmed and forgot he didn't want tomatoes.
