Nope. There are things that people on this forum, the internet, and the real world say daily that are racist; however we've become numb to them thanks to constant exposure from the internet.
Think of it this way, how many times have you seen or heard one of the following:
-Someone calling another person of Hispanic origin "mexican?"
-Someone making a joke about all "Mexican people" cutting lawns?
-Jokes about only Black or African American people liking Hip-hop or Urban music?
-All the "Common White Girl," "Common Black Girl" accounts.
-The racial jokes said by people on a daily basis?
-People commenting that people of certain races are better or worse at specific activities than others are?
All of these and more are examples of how people can participate in racial bias, stereotyping, or outright racist statements. So many people do it, but we've become desensitized to it. Some are also racist nowadays, but will not utter anything in public, only sometimes doing so if provoked. It's said, but that's the truth.
Sorry for the essay, but nope. The term isn't overused.
