Man, and I wanted to go there for college or grad school.

That's scary. Chicago is amazing in some aspects, but crime has always been a horrifying issue. They really have to make some big changes in that regard cause the current agenda isn't working.

Northwestern is in a great area

UChicago is in a mostly bad area, but some Grad Schools are downtown and in safe/rich/privileged areas

And tbh, the area around UChicago is probably no worse than the area around UPenn, Columbia, USC, etc.

Yeah fact is and what the media try to hide from ya'l is that the police is responsible for a lot of the killing's their, they are fully aware of the reputation the city has now(Chi-raq) so they are taking advantage of that. TRUST me i seen it first hand when I visited back home in Chicago the past 3 weeks, they know outside people etc will believe that a BLACK teen was armed and threatening them so they had to protect their lives when that is not the case 95% of the time.
