Hongbin has grown on me SO much this year.
I think I have to kick Ravi out of my VIXX trinity.

Their label might be trying to change their image but I doubt Jinyoung isn't part of the decision. Baby Good Night is their best charting song in Korea so I fail to see why they think a slow song is the only way to have a hit.

Also Jinyoung is my favorite member, but just because he makes the song doesn't mean he needs to give 75% of the lines to himself and his best friend Baro The fact that Sandeul hardly gets any lines in the title tracks despite being the main vocalist just throws me off.

"Baby Good Night" was a jam.

I for one still love Red Light, and although Red Bible isn't as good as Pink Bible, its still a great album.

I still don't know how I'd rank Red Light against Pink Tape.

For now, it's better, but that could still be because of the excitement of new music. Both albums share the same blueprint/structure, even though they both toy with different genres. RL hits harder which is a big plus, but PT being softer actually works to it's advantage.

It's gonna take me a while to figure this out.

I said that on Onehallyu, I honestly don't think f(x) fans are starting to dislike it a bit because it's flopping digitally. It's more like they hardly get any new music that they automatically like anything f(x) releases and it will take them a few days to form an honestly and unbiased opinion on the songs.

I've seen many f(x) fans who said this album was better than Pink Tape change their opinion back to Pink Take being better after the excitement fades and they just listen to the songs for what they are.

Is feeding into the hype a bad thing, though? Honestly.

Within the past couple of posts you've targeted f(x) fans, which makes sense considering f(x) are the current big release, but we shouldn't forget that this literally happens with every other k-pop group with all the teasers and hype building before release.

I still think the music on the album is pretty good either way.

There's a lot of hype around f(x) comebacks because they're only once a year.

The same thing happened when Crush was released except that hype was even more deadly than this, also with Rise.

except Taeyang has been #1 for like more than a month and 2NE1's single is the second highest selling from a girl group this year

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's annoying how f(x) fans come after anyone who doesn't say f(x) releases the best music when majority of the time they say f(x)'s music is so great because they just don't get enough.

I think it's better for f(x) that way anyways. Due to their exclusiveness, everyone gets excited for their comebacks and albums because they know it's a yearly thing and then f(x) will go back to individual activities until their next comeback. If f(x) didn't have the blind hype then they wouldn't be successful as an idol group because realistically speaking, their music is good but not AMAZING like how people in this thread try and make it seem. So coming back once a year with their albums and performances would not work in their favor without being an SM and having an amazing amount of hype. And granted that is an opinion, but people here make it sound like it's a fact that f(x) releases some superior music.

If f(x) underperforms it's because "SM didn't promote them enough" and not because the public just isn't into f(x)'s music. Red Light is an awful choice of title track, because while yes it is exciting and great change from the typical brave brothers/Double Side Kick tracks, the public won't like it. The public not liking it and not buying will have SM continuing their thought that f(x) should never be a priority. To me that is the reason that I don't understand why f(x) fans tried to come at me when I was talking about charts.

Caring about charts =/= not caring about music quality. I just like seeing my bias and if they don't perform well in sales then SM isn't going to promote them because they have other acts who perform better and worth the time more.

And yeah most if not all K-pop groups need or depend on hype to sell, but f(x) needs it a little more imo.

He's been growing on me, too, but not enough to kick Ravi out of my trinity. Ravi's ass is enough to keep him in my trinity forever.

Well, that kind of goes without saying.

Fans will always be excited for their faves' releases. And I was always under the impression that ATRL posters exaggerate their reactions to their faves' releases and it is funny to see in a good way. Not everything has to be taken so seriously.
