They have, obviously, to sleep though.

It depends for the most part, but most make little to no money and see no profits until the money invested in them is made back, which can take years because a lot Korean idols spent years training with their respective companies only to debut in a group that doesn't sell that much. Even the most successful group, EXO, doesn't make that much money as individuals. In addition, most of the groups live in cramped one, two, or three-room apartments where they have to share bedrooms with one another.
A lot of people refer to it as an entertainment sweatshop with how some of the groups are treated. Idols barely sleep, must constantly diet and exercise, some are forced to have plastic surgery, and some are constantly performing. In fact, some of these groups can perform up to ten times a day while traveling from place to place, only to sleep for a couple of hours at the end of every night. Some say they barely get to sleep at all and it's why you always see KPOP idols falling asleep backstage or on the ground wherever they are. If you take a look at any KPOP group, you'll see their schedule consists of non-stop work for years on end.
