I agree to an extent, but sometimes, you just can't deny a #1s credibility when it spends almost a year or more on the charts. Obviously the public loves it enough for it to be popular.
But you would think a song topping the charts would leave an impact but that isn't the case. There was a thread made where it was asked to list songs that you thought were big but underperformed or flopped on the charts, to me those songs were more impactful for music than most these #1 hits.
Anyways to answer the question both of the LMFAO songs I think are trash and I'm dying laughing at some of the posters demolishing them

Out of these 16, I would say that a handful of them had impact. I don't necessarily think that a chart topper has to leave an impact. It may just be memorable in the sense that it's catchy. Teenage Dream didn't leave any impact, but it's memorable in my opinion.
