Would gay men be morerespected if they were less promiscuous

A number of individual-level risk behaviors (e.g., higher numbers of lifetime sex partners, higher rates of partner change and partner acquisition rates, and unprotected sex) significantly contribute to the ongoing disparities in the sexual health of MSM.
Do you think gay men would be more respected by society if they were less promiscuous, engaged in safer sex, had lower rates of illicit drug use, etc? Respect starts with yourself....
Nah, they just aren't comfortable with the idea of 2 people of the same gender being in love no matter what the real situation is. Its all surface stuff most people don't realize who we really are
But no. Even if we were safer, that wouldn't change how they view us in society. At the end of the day, they would still consider homosexuality abnormal/an abomination/disgusting/or whatever else they use.
No, I think it's the gender roles. A straight told me a couple of days ago he would be more comfortable if they weren't so girly. Ignorant I know but I don't hate
