I don't know the statistics of either, but Diamonds felt bigger. Maybe because Rihanna is a singles artist and Taylor is an albums artist.

I feel like WANEGBT had more impact amongst my circles, even though Diamonds was a bigger hit in the UK.

It's because Diamonds was played on the radio more. WANEGBT is bigger though.
