So? There's lots of famous artists who've never had an airplay #1. I don't think even Eminem ever got a UK airplay #1 before. Most radio stations in the UK are adult contemporary, so certain artists are unlikely to get airplay #1s.

People my age all know Ciara very well because she was one of the biggest female stars when we were teenagers, and she was having hit after hit back then.

I know Kelly Rowland is famous in the UK. Everybody knows her too. I voted for her in the poll, since I think she's more successful in the UK. Dilemma was bigger than any Ciara song for starters, and also Kelly's hits are more spread out, so she's shown more longevity than Ciara. That doesn't mean Ciara is unknown though. I bet you can find literally millions of people in this country who know who she is.

Clearly you missed my whole point. Just because 21 year old gays all know Ciara does not reflect anything from the GP. And Eminem has had 3 or 4 UK airplay No.1 hits in the past decade.
